First seen Oct 01, 2025 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study looked at whether a hands-on myofascial release technique on the diaphragm could immediately improve chest expansion and spine flexibility in competitive Brazilian jiu jitsu athletes. Twenty adult athletes with at least three years of competition experience took part. Researchers measured chest expansion and lower back mobility before and after the technique to see if it helped.
