Doctors track breathing muscle health after awake chest surgery

NCT ID NCT06486168

Summary

This study aims to find out how often patients experience diaphragm weakness after undergoing chest surgery while awake (non-intubated). Researchers will follow 120 adults having this type of surgery, using ultrasound scans to measure diaphragm movement 2 and 24 hours after the procedure. The goal is to gather data to better understand this potential complication and its timing.
