Could a simple salt tweak in dialysis ease blood pressure woes?

NCT ID NCT07459348

Summary

This study is testing if using a dialysis fluid with a lower sodium (salt) level can help improve blood pressure and blood vessel health in people on long-term hemodialysis. Twenty-five patients will try both a lower-sodium fluid and the standard fluid for three weeks each, in a random order. Researchers will measure blood pressure, blood vessel function, fluid levels, and patient symptoms to see if the lower-sodium approach is beneficial.
