Can dialysis patients save themselves in a crisis? new study investigates
NCT ID NCT07412834
Summary
This study aims to understand if people on dialysis know how to safely disconnect themselves from their machine during an emergency, like a natural disaster. Researchers are surveying over 600 patients internationally to assess their current knowledge and the steps they would take. The goal is to identify gaps and improve training programs so patients can protect themselves if medical staff are overwhelmed.
