New gel tested to speed healing of stubborn diabetic wounds

NCT ID NCT06608303

Summary

This study tested whether adding a special gel to standard wound care helps diabetic foot ulcers and similar chronic wounds heal better. 40 adults with diabetes and a wound in the 'granulation' healing phase were randomly assigned to receive either standard care alone or standard care plus the gel for two weeks. Researchers measured changes in wound size and healing rates to see if the gel was effective and safe.
