First seen Apr 29, 2026 · Last updated Jun 11, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a diode laser, apple cider vinegar, or a plant extract called gymnema sylvestre can better kill harmful bacteria in root canals of people with type 2 diabetes. About 90 adults aged 25-60 with diabetes and infected tooth roots will be randomly assigned to different cleaning methods. The goal is to find a more effective way to disinfect the tooth and reduce pain after treatment.
