New study aims to predict which eye drug works best for diabetes patients

NCT ID NCT07520045

First seen May 05, 2026 · Last updated May 05, 2026

Summary

This study looks at 100 adults with diabetic retinopathy to see if two different eye injections, faricimab and a biosimilar of ranibizumab, cause different early changes in eye scans. Participants will get three injections and have their eyes imaged with OCT and OCTA technology. The goal is to find imaging markers that predict which drug works better for each person.
