Placental tissue tested to heal stubborn diabetic wounds

NCT ID NCT07219004

Summary

This study tested whether adding a special graft made from donated placental tissue to standard wound care could help heal chronic foot ulcers in people with diabetes. It involved 30 adults whose ulcers had not improved with standard care alone. Participants received the graft weekly for 12 weeks to see if it sped up wound closure compared to standard care.
