New gel treatment could soothe diabetic eyes

Summary

This study tests a gel that contains tiny particles (exosomes) designed to repair the eye's surface in people with diabetes. The gel is placed on the eye and aims to improve nerve health, tear production, and comfort. About 30 adults with diabetic eye disease will take part to see if the treatment reduces dryness and damage.
