First seen Mar 01, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study compares two surgical techniques—cruciate incision and saucerization—for treating carbuncles in diabetic patients aged 25-70. Both methods are followed by vacuum-assisted closure therapy. The goal is to see which technique causes less blood loss and faster wound healing. 124 participants will be randomly assigned to one of the two groups and monitored every 14 days until their wound heals.
