Scientists probe Brain's role in diabetes pain mystery
NCT ID NCT07316322
Summary
This study aims to understand why some people with diabetic nerve damage experience severe pain while others do not, by comparing how their central nervous systems process pain signals. Researchers will observe and test 128 adults with Type 2 diabetes, measuring pain sensitivity and psychological factors. The goal is to gather knowledge about the underlying mechanisms, not to test a new treatment.
