Can a tiny sensor help pilots with diabetes fly safer?

NCT ID NCT04225455

Summary

This study is testing if a wearable glucose monitor can help pilots with insulin-treated diabetes manage their condition more safely while flying. Seventeen pilots will wear the device for six months to see if it provides better, real-time information about their blood sugar levels compared to standard finger-prick tests. The goal is to gather evidence to support safer flying regulations for people with diabetes.
