Scientists search for clues to diabetic stomach paralysis

NCT ID NCT07324785

Summary

This study aims to understand why some people with diabetes develop gastroparesis, a condition where the stomach muscles don't work properly, causing nausea and bloating. Researchers will compare blood and stomach tissue samples from 50 people with diabetic gastroparesis to samples from people without diabetes. The goal is to find biological markers linked to the stomach muscle dysfunction to help guide future treatments.
