Eye scans spot hidden diabetes damage before vision fails
NCT ID NCT06457295
Summary
This study aimed to understand how diabetes affects the tiny blood vessels in the eye before any vision problems are noticeable. Researchers used a special, detailed eye scan on 200 people with type 2 diabetes who had no signs of eye disease. The goal was to see if the scan could detect early changes related to how long a person has had diabetes, which might help with earlier monitoring.
