Summary

This study compares two common diabetes medications to see which one better helps older adults with newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes maintain their muscle mass while controlling blood sugar. Researchers will measure changes in muscle, body fat, and blood sugar levels over 24 weeks in 116 participants aged 60-85. The goal is to understand which medication might offer better overall body composition benefits for this age group.
