New diabetes drug combo aims for safer blood sugar control

Summary
This study is for adults with type 2 diabetes whose blood sugar is still too high despite taking two common medications. Researchers want to see if adding one of two different drugs works better to control blood sugar without causing low blood sugar episodes or weight gain. About 200 people will be randomly assigned to receive one of the two new drug combinations for 24 weeks.
