Summary

This study looked at whether applying dextrose (a type of sugar) through the skin using ultrasound waves (phonophoresis) can help treat mild to moderate acne. 115 people aged 18 to 30 with acne took part. The goal was to see if this treatment reduces acne severity and lesion counts.
