New painkiller combo could extend relief after knee surgery

Summary

This study tests whether adding dexmedetomidine to standard spinal anesthesia can provide longer pain relief after knee surgery. About 100 adults aged 18-60 having elective knee surgery will participate. The main goal is to measure how long it takes before patients need additional pain medication.
