New study tracks brain waves during surgery to Fine-Tune anesthesia

Summary
This study looks at how the sedative dexmedetomidine changes brain activity and pain signals during general anesthesia. Researchers will monitor 60 adults having surgery to see how this drug affects special monitors that track brain state and pain. The goal is to learn how to better adjust anesthesia for each patient.
