First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This early-phase study tested a single dexamethasone implant placed in the eye to treat fluid buildup under the retina in 10 people with uveal melanoma (a type of eye cancer) who had already received radiation therapy. The goal was to see if the implant is safe and can help resolve the fluid detachment that often causes vision loss after radiation. The study focused on safety and early signs of effectiveness.
