Summary

This study looks at whether adding a medicine called dexamethasone to the usual painkiller (bupivacaine) can better control pain in newborns after inguinal hernia repair. About 150 full-term, healthy babies will take part. Researchers will measure pain using a special scale during the first 24 hours after surgery.
