First seen Feb 16, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study looks at two different doses of a steroid called dexamethasone for children aged 4 to 15 who come to the emergency room with an asthma attack. The goal is to see if one dose is better at preventing the need for more steroids in the next two weeks. About 104 children will take part, and the study will also check how often they need to see a doctor again and how well the treatment is tolerated.
