Kenya tests new way to fight worms: regular clinic visits instead of special drives

NCT ID NCT07507461

First seen May 01, 2026 ยท Last updated May 01, 2026

Summary

This study looked at whether giving deworming medicine during regular healthcare visits works as well as special mass drug campaigns to prevent worm infections in Western Kenya. Over 1,200 people from four counties took part, including children and adults. Researchers compared coverage, cost, and feasibility between the two methods to see if integrating deworming into primary care is a better approach.
