Neck stimulator aims to fight Ventilator-Induced muscle wasting

NCT ID NCT05883163

Summary

This study is testing a device called the STIMIT Activator 1 System. It uses gentle stimulation through a neck device to try to preserve the strength of the diaphragm, the main breathing muscle, in adults who are on a mechanical ventilator. The goal is to see if this helps patients get off the breathing machine sooner and more successfully.
