Summary

This study is testing a device that filters a patient's blood to remove harmful substances released after a severe burn. It aims to see if this treatment can help control the body's dangerous inflammatory response in children, potentially reducing their time in intensive care. The study will compare 30 children receiving the device treatment to a group of past patients who did not.
