First seen Apr 04, 2026 · Last updated Jun 09, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study explores whether measuring how the skin on the bottom of the foot responds to pressure can detect early damage from diabetes. Researchers will compare 200 people with and without diabetes to see if skin stiffness and bounce can predict ulcer risk. The goal is to create a simple, non-invasive tool to prevent foot ulcers and amputations.
