Desmoid tumor study: most patients may not need immediate treatment
NCT ID NCT02547831
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 29 times
Summary
This study looked at 100 people with desmoid tumors (a type of non-cancerous growth) to see if a 'wait and see' approach is safe. Instead of treating everyone right away, doctors only started treatment if the tumor grew. The goal was to learn how often tumors progress and to understand genetic markers that might predict behavior.
