First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 28, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This early study tests a new treatment called Descartes-08 for people with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), an autoimmune disease. The therapy uses a patient's own immune cells, modified to attack lupus-related cells. The main goals are to check safety and see if it can reduce disease activity. Only 6 adults with active lupus despite other treatments are enrolled.
