New hope for Tough-to-Treat depression linked to childhood trauma

NCT ID NCT07369115

Summary

This study is testing if adding a drug called lumateperone helps adults with major depression and a history of childhood physical or sexual assault. Participants are people whose current antidepressant isn't working well enough. The main goal is to see if the added drug reduces depression symptoms more than a placebo over 6 weeks, and researchers will also use brain scans to understand how it might work.
