New flexible denture bar may save jawbone, study finds
NCT ID NCT07323628
Summary
This study tested two materials used to connect lower dentures to dental implants. Twenty patients who had lost all their lower teeth received two implants and were randomly assigned either a traditional metal bar or a newer, more flexible PEEK plastic bar to hold their denture in place. Researchers followed patients for one year to see which material caused less bone loss around the implants and which led to better denture comfort and function.
