New dental patch tested to heal sinus hole without cutting gums
NCT ID NCT07476664
Summary
This study compared two ways to fix a small hole that can accidentally form between the mouth and sinus after pulling an upper back tooth. In 24 patients, doctors tested a new method using a dissolvable collagen patch against the standard method of cutting and moving gum tissue. The goal was to see which approach led to better healing, less pain, and fewer changes to the gum structure over 90 days.
