Sticky situation: can sealants protect early cavities?

NCT ID NCT07330089

Summary

This study aims to see if dental sealants, a protective coating for teeth, stay on just as well when applied to teeth with the very earliest signs of a cavity compared to perfectly healthy teeth. It will involve 420 children and teenagers, aged 7 to 18, and will check how well the sealants are holding on after 3, 6, and 12 months. The goal is to help dentists plan the best follow-up care to prevent cavities from getting worse.
