First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study looks at how well a special tooth sealant works to prevent cavities in children's back teeth. About 250 kids aged 7-11 will get the sealant on their first permanent molars. The sealant is applied either to a dry tooth or a slightly wet one, and the teeth are checked at 3, 6, 9, and 12 months to see if the sealant stays in place and prevents decay.
