Sealant showdown: healthy vs. Early-Cavity teeth – which holds up better?
NCT ID NCT07330089
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study will place dental sealants on 420 back teeth in children and teens aged 7 to 18. Half of the teeth are healthy, and half have very early cavities. Researchers will check how well the sealants stay on over 12 months to see if early decay affects retention. The goal is to improve cavity prevention by tailoring follow-up care.
