First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated Jun 09, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study tested whether a small 3D-printed device helps dentists take better digital scans of mouths with no teeth. Seven patients with four dental implants each had their scans done three different ways. The goal was to see which method created the most accurate fit for a permanent set of false teeth. The best-fitting prosthesis was then given to each patient.
