Scientists test which dental scan is most accurate

NCT ID NCT07200440

Summary

This is a lab study comparing how accurate three different digital scanning methods are for planning full-arch dental implants. Researchers will use models of toothless jaws with implants to test conventional scan bodies, a camera-based photogrammetry system, and a newer method called calibrated scan flags. The goal is to see which method most precisely captures the position and angle of the implant components.
