New gum tunnel technique rebuilds bone for dental implants

Summary
This study tested two ways to thicken a narrow upper jawbone so dental implants can be placed. Thirty-four people with thin jawbones received either a blood-based or gel-enriched bone graft through a small tunnel under the gum. After six months, the amount of new bone was measured with a 3D scan.
