New dental fillings aim to save teeth from root canals

NCT ID NCT06802536

Summary

This study is testing two special dental filling materials, Biodentine and NeoPutty, to see how well they treat a painful inflammation inside the tooth called irreversible pulpitis. The goal is to see if these materials can heal the inflamed pulp and save the tooth, potentially avoiding the need for a full root canal treatment. Researchers will compare the materials in 60 adults, checking their teeth for pain and healing over 12 months after a single treatment session.
