Scientists swab 600 mouths to unlock secrets of oral health
NCT ID NCT07451782
Summary
This study aimed to understand how daily oral hygiene habits and two common over-the-counter products affect the community of microbes and chemicals in the mouth. Researchers surveyed nearly 600 adults about their health and habits, then tested how using a specific lozenge or water additive for 60 days changed mouth bacteria and inflammation markers compared to no product. The goal was to gather detailed information to better understand the link between oral care and overall health.
