3D scanners aim to map dental plaque better than the naked eye
NCT ID NCT07421687
Summary
This study aims to test a new 3D scanning method for measuring plaque buildup on teeth. Researchers will compare this high-tech scan to the traditional method where a dentist visually scores plaque. They want to see if the scanner is more accurate and if plaque sticks differently to natural teeth versus common dental materials like fillings and veneers.
