New dental paste tested to fight tooth infections and ease pain
NCT ID NCT07340944
Summary
This study tested if a medication called N-acetylcysteine (NAC) works better than two standard pastes when placed inside a tooth during root canal treatment. Researchers compared how well each paste killed bacteria, reduced pain after the procedure, and helped heal the bone around the tooth root. The study involved 45 adults with a chronic tooth infection but no active pain.
