New approach to stop dental pain before it starts
NCT ID NCT07400471
Summary
This study is testing whether giving pain medication before a root canal procedure can reduce discomfort during and after treatment. Researchers are comparing two existing medications (duloxetine and pregabalin) against placebo pills in 280 adults with moderate to severe tooth pain. The goal is to see if this 'preemptive' approach provides better pain control than standard care.
