Dentists test limits: how close to the bone can a filling go?
NCT ID NCT07169305
Summary
This study aims to find the safest depth for placing fillings below the gumline. Researchers will place fillings at different heights above the jawbone in 81 adult patients and then monitor the health of the tooth's nerve and the surrounding gums. The goal is to gather evidence for a less invasive dental technique that could avoid more extensive surgery.
