Six-Year dental implant study tests technique to save your smile

NCT ID NCT07171866

Summary

This study tested a dental implant technique called the Socket Shield over six years. It compared whether placing the implant immediately or waiting six months after a tooth extraction worked better for long-term bone and gum health. The goal was to see if this technique reliably preserves the look and structure of the jaw and gums around an implant.
