Dentists test 'Shield' trick to save your smile after tooth pull
NCT ID NCT07473921
Summary
This study is testing a new dental implant method for when a front upper tooth needs to be pulled. The goal is to see if leaving a tiny piece of the old root in place helps prevent the jawbone and gums from shrinking and collapsing after the tooth is removed. Five adults with a single damaged tooth will receive this modified implant technique to see if it better preserves their smile's appearance.
