Your old tooth could help your new implant: study tests reusing dentin as bone graft

NCT ID NCT07324083

Summary

This study tested two materials used to preserve jawbone after a tooth is pulled, to see if they allow for a faster dental implant process. It compared a graft made from a patient's own processed tooth (AMDG) against a common synthetic bone material (β-TCP) and against doing no graft at all. The goal was to see which method best maintained bone for placing and quickly using a new implant.
