New magnesium shield tested for better dental implant results

NCT ID NCT07492576

Summary

This study is comparing two methods for managing the bone and gum tissue after a tooth is pulled and a dental implant is placed right away. Researchers want to see if using a new, dissolvable magnesium membrane leads to better bone volume, improved gum appearance, and less pain after surgery compared to a standard bone grafting technique. The study will involve 22 adults who need a tooth replaced in their upper jaw.
