How close is too close? study aims to prevent numbness from dental implants

NCT ID NCT07363239

Summary

This study aims to find a safe distance for placing dental implants near a major nerve in the lower jaw to prevent nerve damage. Researchers will look back at 3D X-ray scans from 100 patients to see how the distance between an implant and the nerve relates to problems like numbness or tingling. The goal is to gather information that helps dentists place implants more safely in the future.
