New dental implant technique aims for better healing
NCT ID NCT04224935
Summary
This study tested two different ways to place a collagen membrane during immediate dental implant placement. Twenty patients with a badly decayed tooth in a visible area received an implant with bone graft and a membrane placed either inside or outside the socket. Researchers measured the thickness of the bone and gum tissue around the implant over 9 months to see which placement method led to better healing and appearance.
