Dental study tests if removing crowns helps heal implant infections

NCT ID NCT07391202

Summary

This study aims to find the best way to clean infected dental implants without surgery. It will compare two methods: one where the artificial tooth (crown) is removed during cleaning and one where it is left in place. Researchers will measure gum health and bone levels around the implants over 12 months to see which approach works better.
